Hiring: Project Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a competent and experienced Project Manager to help us meet and expand our workload. Working from our Cirencester office, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Project Team and Project Designer, to ensure timely and effective delivery of projects to our client’ satisfaction. From initial concept to construction completion, you will manage all project phases, demonstrating expertise in current legislative standards and industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Define, monitor, and control project scope, schedule, and resources. Prepare and develop client and consultant proposals, contracts, and fees. Foster a positive teamwork atmosphere, monitor team performance, and maintain quality standards.
  • Financial Management: Meet or exceed project financial goals, initiate invoicing, and monitor client issues to minimize liability. Handle project set-up, contract administration, and ensure orderly project closeout, including contractual requirements.
  • Client Relations: Establish and maintain successful client relationships, participate in marketing opportunities, and facilitate collaboration within the practice.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all aspects and phases of the building design process.
  • Design: Understand design philosophies, industry trends, planning strategies, space planning, materials, and finishes. Ensure successful implementation of the overall design concept and address technical implications of design decisions while promoting excellence in design and sustainability.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in project financial management, contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, and negotiations.
  • Up to date knowledge of CDM requirements including all related Health & Safety aspects.
  • Familiarity with various UK Contracts and Appointments.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and coordination abilities within a project team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including client presentation expertise.
  • Solid knowledge of project design processes, construction documentation, space planning, specifications, materials, and finishes would be an advantage.
  • Collaborative work ethic and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
Education and Experience:
  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline, ideally having at least 10 years of post-qualification experience.
