Job Opportunity: Architectural Technician
James Slater & Co are looking to recruit a full-time Architectural Technician for their Cirencester Office.
James Slater & Co is one of the most experienced and established independent Building Surveying and Architectural Design practices in the Cotswolds, offering a wide range of services to Residential and Commercial clients.
With a long history of working with historic and Listed buildings they are now respected as specialists in this field. They are now keen to build on this reputation and expand their architectural team to blend the best of modern architecture with the timeless quality of traditional designs.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of professionals who pride themselves on delivering high quality projects. The firm has built-up an excellent reputation and the applicant will need excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to contribute to this ongoing success. The role would suit someone with a few years’ experience, with a passion for traditional/Listed buildings and an ambition to develop their design skills and become an integral member of developing team.
We are able to offer a competitive wage and package dependent on your experience. It is essential that the applicant has a full clean driving licence and access to personal transport for use within the role.
The Role and Responsibilities:
· Feasibility drawings.
· Producing planning applications
· Preparing detailed and working drawings.
· Compiling Schedules of Works and Specifications
· Building Regulations and other statutory applications.
· Developing tender packages.
· Project management of construction projects
Key skills and experience:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience.
· Experienced in using AutoCAD or similar design packages.
· Microsoft Office skills.
Preferred additional knowledge and skills:
· Knowledge of Historic or Listed Buildings and their challenges
· Understanding of conservation and environmental matters
Salary: Negotiable. Depending on experience.
Start: As soon as possible.
